Building a Legacy of Faith and Community
The construction of Mosque Bilal Hamden CT represents a significant milestone for our community, providing a dedicated space for worship, education, and community gathering. Designed with both tradition and modern needs in mind, this mosque will serve as a spiritual haven and a center for learning. Our mission is to create a welcoming environment where individuals of all ages can come together to pray, study, and grow in their faith. Join us in building a legacy of faith, unity, and knowledge for generations to come.
Basic Prayer Hall
Our basic prayer hall is fully constructed and serves as the central space for daily prayers. However, due to the high turnout for Friday prayers, we currently utilize the community hall to accommodate the large number of worshippers. We recognize the need for a larger, dedicated prayer hall and are planning an expansion to meet this growing demand.
Ablution Area for Men
The ablution area for men has been successfully constructed, providing a comfortable and convenient space for performing Wudu (ablution) before prayers. This facility is fully functional and meets the needs of our male worshippers.
Ablution Area for Women
While we have a temporary ablution area for women, it is currently limited due to space constraints. We understand the importance of privacy and comfort for our female worshippers and are actively planning to create a permanent, dedicated ablution area that will better serve their needs.
Temporary Community Hall
Our temporary community hall is a multi-purpose space currently serving various needs, including Friday prayers and community events. We have plans to construct a new, larger prayer hall and repurpose the existing prayer hall to expand this community space, enhancing its utility and capacity.
Kids Classes Area
Currently, we use the community hall area for children’s classes, but we have plans to build a dedicated area for this purpose. This future space will be designed to provide a conducive learning environment tailored to the needs of our young students.
Bathrooms
At present, we have one bathroom constructed for visitors. Recognizing the necessity for more facilities, we have plans to build five bathrooms for men and six for women and children. These will be located in a designated area outside, ensuring adequate and separate amenities for all.
Parking Area
Although we have a dedicated parking area, it is not yet properly constructed. Improving this space is a priority, as we aim to provide safe and accessible parking for all visitors to our masjid.
Small Warehouse
We have a temporarily constructed small warehouse to store the masjid’s belongings. However, as our Disaster Cell grows and more donations come in, we need a larger space to accommodate these items. Expanding our storage capacity is essential to support our community outreach and disaster relief efforts effectively.
